Born in Manila, Philippines, Allen Banez surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at a Billy Graham Crusade in the Philippines at the age of 13.
He has served in various church ministries and in higher education for over two decades, most recently as an Executive Pastor at Ambassador Church (Anaheim) and as adjunct professor at Biola University, teaching in the Bible/Theology and English departments for 9 years.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at California State University Fullerton, he went on to Dallas Theological Seminary and completed a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Theology (Th.M.). He completed a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Biola University Talbot School of Theology in 2016.
As one of the pioneer planters of Redemption Bible Church, Allen enjoys practicing his skills and gifts in administration, teaching, service and hospitality.
One of Allen’s favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Allen enjoys family gatherings (especially with his 17 nephews and nieces). You’ll find him hiking, paddleboarding, or cooking during his spare time. He loves watching indoor volleyball and his favorite team: the Dallas Cowboys.
