Steve Daniels was born and raised in the small farming town of Grafton, Massachusetts where after high school, he answered the call to serve his country in the United States Navy in 1966. After three tours overseas, he settled in Southern California where he has lived ever since. He came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ in 1975 through the love and prayers of his now wife, Maureen, to whom he has been married since 1977.
Such a drastic change in his life… he wanted to know more!
Educated at Moody Bible in Chicago and through the ministry of faithful pastors and a wonderful mentor at Sierra Madre Congregational Church, he began to share the good news of the gospel by teaching Sunday school and leading Bible studies for the next 35 years. He also served by leading Growth Groups, College, Singles and Men’s Ministries… as well as Marriage Mentoring and Marriage classes in which he and Maureen even took to churches in Africa for 5 years.
He officially retired from his role as Executive Pastor in Sierra Madre in 2014, but continued to serve as a volunteer in churches in his community.
During the fall of 2023, he began to sense the call to come alongside the leaders of Redemption Bible Church to support and encourage them in what he saw God doing among them. Having experienced God’s faithfulness for almost 4 decades, he is looking forward to serving at RBC as God continues to call the people in San Dimas and the surrounding communities to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and a faithful walk together with Him.
