Tom has served in church music for over 35 years in various capacities, building ensembles, leading choir and orchestra, composing, providing music education to all levels and pastoring congregational worship. He studied at Biola University in La Mirada, CA after high school (Nevada Union H.S., Grass Valley, CA) and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. While at Biola, he met his wife Julie, and they married in 1996. They have two sons, Justin and Owen.
Tom is passionate about simple musical worship that engages and allows everyone to participate. He enjoys working in partnership with the RBC staff weekly to clearly communicate the Word and the Gospel through music. Tom also loves baseball, music of all kinds and time in the mountains!
